Bio

Robert Thien studied commercial and contemporary photography at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York.  In 1986 he moved to New York City to work with nationally acclaimed photographer Mark Ross.  This creative alliance propelled Thien into a career as an interior and architectural photographer. 

He moved to Atlanta in 1991, forming Robert Thien Inc., to market his photography services to publications, advertising agencies, and architectural firms.  Upon his relocation to Atlanta, Thien established a working relationship with Architectural Digest, Interior Design and numerous other national and international publications.  Elton John’s Atlanta residence, L.A. Reid and John Mellencamp’s residences are among Thien’s interior photography work. Thien’s corporate projects include the Las Vegas Hilton, Skanska and UPS Innoplex.
